Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!

Have you seen the latest video by Lady Gaga – Bad Romance? Do you like it? I really do. I’m just a bit confused. It’s just impossible not to notice that the video is all about PRODUCT PLACEMENT. Gaga’s showroom? :D

First of all – Nemiroff Vodka,

then Parrot by Stark ($1,600 sound system for an iPhone or iPod, you can find it here),

Lady Gaga Heartbeats head phones (available on her website),

white sunglasses by Carrera

and last but not least, there is the HP Envy Beats Limited Edition laptop.

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-roma-mamaa!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance

Walk, walk fashion baby
Work it
Move that bitch crazy

Ok I didn’t like that obvious promotion thing but I did and still do love the outfits by Alexander McQueen (ss2010) that Lady Gaga is wearing.

Those shoes are sick and look alien-ish but I would like to try them on :) haha or should I say ga-ga-ooh-la-la :)

Transvestite and Lady GaGa.

Hahaha I'm not saying that Lady GaGa is a transvestite (and i hate all that comments and stupid articles about GaGa gender, c`mon it's clearly obvious that she is a female). Girl exposed GaGa's product placement, and i don`t think that it's bad. Quite opposite - I just love it. And there are many reasons for that.
REASON #1
GaGa gone Slav!!!! Yes, Roma is a short version of Russian name Roman. So, when you know that the lyrics makes more sense. I was wondering who`ll be the first one to adopt some Russian culture in world's pop culture. I had a hope that the queen of reinvention (read Madonna) will do it, but there is a higher chance of promoting Brazilian things. Whatever, it still proves that Lady GaGa is on the edge and soon she`ll become a pop icon and she's a trend setter already. You don't see any connection to Slavs, well vodka LEX by Nemiroff is originating from Ukraine. That verse:
"Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-roma-mamaa!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance
"
is really Slavic. I didn't want to mention it, but for our non-east followers I have to explain it.  In post Sovjet aria we have a huge trany pop star Verka Serduchka. Bellow are few examples of his/her songs. After watching it y`all understand what I mean.

Kiss please!

REASON #2
Lady GaGa is sarcastic about herself. This feature is missing in the modern pop culture, but GaGa is feeling that gap!
REASON #3
Fashion with a big F! Gosh I don't even have to comment it. Just watch the video again. Ohh la la la
REASON #4
The lyrics. After last night (Boy was in a party mood and went to some dirty low-priced-exchange-students-bar) i totally understand the cri de coeur of GaGa's song.
I want your ugly
I want your disease
I want your everything
As long as it’s free
I want your love

or even better:

I want your horror
I want your design
‘Cause you’re a criminal
As long as your mine
I want your love

and i don`t wanna be friends. Ahh, totally hi 5 to Lady GaGa.
REASON #5
There is a Russian saying - There`s no ugly girls, there's not enough vodka. No offence, but GaGa proves that :D

It's time for charity!

MALady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper have been named the latest faces of the MAC AIDS Fund. The newest campaign, “From Our Lips,” will break on Feb. 25. MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick, $14 each, will launch in North America on March 18 and globally throughout the month, with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to the MAC AIDS Fund (more info here).

Dear, readers! What do you think of this? And any other celebrity & “it-product” charity? It's for sure, that this kind of charity is firstly marketing and after that – good cause. Is it ethical to use charity to reinvent brand's or celebrity's image?

Well, it' s fine by me as far as I believe that the product I' m buying is worth the price. If I buy MAC lipstick I know it' s good, so I will buy charity product as well (ok but I' m a huge fan of MAC cosmetics anyway). But if you wanna buy a new Ipod Nano and you have to choose the color of it, why not to chose the red one, knowing that with every iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED purchase a part of the proceeds go directly to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

And I absolutely love Gap (PRODUCT) RED t-shirts. One of my favourite presents ever is the iconic “INSPI(RED)” Gap t-shirt. I got it for 3 years now and I still love it a lot. More about (RED) you can read here

I think right now every second company has its own charity program, for example Mango present six women T-shirts illustrated with different phrases provided by the renowned Brazilian writer Paolo Coelho. The T-shirts will cost €15 and part of the money raised from their sale will go to the charity organization that bears the author’s name. H&M has collection “Fashion Against AIDS” and there are a lot more.

I know, I know everything mention above is just a marketing (for a good cause?) however charity is all about giving not getting. But somehow it's just easier to buy charity t-shirt, lipstick etc. than donate money in any other way. It' s like giving and instantly getting back :)

Any thoughts?

Gaga lipstick.... Few years ago some British fiend of mine explained what actually Gaga or gaga sound means. And now Gaga lipstick, i`m so looking forward to see the actual design of the lipstick. Haven't y`all noticed how Lady Gaga is obsessed with stick, for instance her song Love Game:

"Let's have some fun,
This beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Don't think too much just bust that kick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick"

Cindy Lauper 56 y.o !!! is known for fighting against all homophobes, which is good, so i think it's natural for her to be a part of AIDS charity. I try to make some small contributions too. My latest purchase was H&M tee from collection “Fashion Against AIDS” . I guess that`s good, anyway we shop. So why not to shop more wiser?!
