It's been more than a week since our last post and I feel really bad, not just because of mine runny nose and sore throat (for a bad reason), but also that there wasn't anything worth sharing. However I'm still waiting for pictures from NYE celebration at Salt'n'Pepper which was cozy (I'v helped to decorate the Bar) and with nice music (Bogdan Taran, Ksenia Kamikaza and Max Lomov). Actually Ksenia made me to dance my ass of - ABBA, Kylie and Madonna (all the hits from 80`s) in a row was extremely dancetive. People were dressed fabulous and i was stupid enough not to take my camera with me. So that's why we'll have to wait for pictures.
Ok, now informative part. Since there were no fashion/style related venues/events lately, it made me think of other topics for our blog and suddenly I realized, that sales time us coming and many pf us are going to a shopping trip not only for bargains but for a fresh collections.
So this post is going to be about trends for next Spring Summer. Finally i'v got some critics on our blog (about content, not grammar, dah!) - a friend of mine, said that we have a lack of men's trends. So this post is about Spring/Summer 2010 men trends report.
Since there is so little information on Spring Summer trends in men's fashion, I, the Boy had to make a "tiny" research in that field. After examination of around 80 collection and 2400 pictures it was possible bring to light 7 trends:
Regardless designers and fashion week's home city almost every designer had a Jumpsuit also knows as overall in his/her collection. I guess any modern guy has to have a jumpsuit in his wardrobe. If you don`t own any, this spring you'll have an opportunity to get some. This will be a good investment, because jumpsuits becomes trendy every now and then. Another reason is that this jumpsuit will motivate you to keep you shape, one you'v gained few kilo it is had to zip the suite up. Few years ago i had a chance to buy one overall by BURBERRY. I must admit that now I'm few kilos heavier, so it's a high time to start attending gym - spring is just around the corner!
Another general trend is double-breasted jackets. Personally I'm not fond of them for some reasons. If you are willing to buy some, please make sure that you really like it - this is a serious investment and i guess that next season it won't be trendy anymore. However if you are into smart, classy and chick style, I'm assuring you that suit itself is definitely ON now, and always will be. This time baggy pants and trousers are in favor. Skinny silhouette is becoming less and less actual, meanwhile masculine features more progressive. Anyway reign of super skinny jeans is almost over and I'm looking for some changes. Tiny tip - if you are not a tall person, please avoid extra baggy pants and massive shoulders, unless you want to look like a cube.
Sleevelessness, less common trend which is opposite to massive shoulders and less masculine. It brings lightness to the image and is really comfy in the hot summer (i hope it's going to be such).
Military...what else could you expect - it's artist response to the political agenda. Yet this season more specified - Palestinian scarf patterns and safari-Arabic motifs is this season's strong statement for fearless machos.
There is also trend in colors - many designers had monochromatic looks. If you dress to impress, this is what you need.
Next trend might also impress, but here you need strong self-confidence and ability of mix and matching. Layering - it's all bout layers. Designers always loved to play with fabrics and shapes, but next seasons they're adding leggings to it. Finally, finally leggings entered men's fashion - it's so comfortable, stylish and fun.
And the last trend is Lord Gaga, or Lady Gaga's boyfriend. The name speaks for itself. The more metal starts, chains, rivets, sequins, latex the better!
A friend of mine told me that all that fashion trends are for imaginationless people. My point of view is that trends are trends, it's main fashion directions in terms of color, silhouette, shape and fabric. Thanks God that modern fashion is really democratic and gives at least 4 different trends each seasons.
I hope this post will give you a better understanding of Spring Summer 2010. Please note that it is not a must-have list, but an overview of what's is expecting us in the near future. This week I'm going to give you a trend report on haircuts and shoes!

--------------------------------------------- Ohhh it’s been a while since my last post, I’m soooo sorry but my imaginary/ lazy/uninspired me couldn’t write a word. But now I’m back reading all the important stuff about men ss2010 trends. Here are my thoughts:
1) Jumpsuit – cool, as far as you don’t look like a builder, painter or whoever going home after work.
2) Double-breasted jacket – hmmm… I can’t decide yet. If it’s classy – yes, if it’s clown-ish, grandpa –ish – then no, no, no!!!
3) Sleeveless – thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, if you have biceps/ triceps/ other-ceps (from all year round workouts) to show :)
4) Morocco Military – YES, beige colors are good investments for summertime and military silhouette make beige outfit look easy and sharp in the same time.
5) Lord of the Gaga + Leggings + Layers – it’s all about proportions & patterns & CONFIDENCE!!! Wanna be a head-turner? Then go for it! :)
6) Technicolor – my absolute favorite - YES, YES, YES – I’m so sick of blacks and browns – it’s time for RED, BLUE, YELLOW (yeLOVE), and ORANGE… And more sometimes is MORE!!! :)
What about men accessories? Lately I see a lot of high-top sneakers… Would love to hear your thoughts and visions :)
